Whew! They finally defeated that monster that could just keep regenerating! What a thrilling battle!
The aliens never would have imagined that their invasion plan would be thwarted by a group of kids.

I can't believe it was a bunch of kids who saved the world.
But it was also their fault for being so badly behaved that the adults didn't believe them when they said the monster is real.
It's like a sci-fi horror version of The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
