Guard Captain Bruce is a real hard-ass when it comes to the prisoners. As far as he's concerned, every single inmate is an irredeemable asshole, and assholes should be locked up in prison and get the punishment they deserve. To achieve this, he's willing to do whatever it takes, including forcing the inmates to work for him. You are simply his latest pawn.

But why is Bruce so hostile to the prisoners? You heard a rumor that it all stems from something that happened to his father.

When Bruce was a child, his family owned a hardware store. One morning, an escaped convict broke into the store and forced Bruce's dad to get the handcuffs off with some tools. His dad complied, but the convict was worried he'd call the police, so handcuffed him in the storeroom out back. But Bruce's dad had a medical condition and needed to take his medication on time every day. When his mom went in late that night to look for him, his dad was unconscious. Even though they managed to save his life, he couldn't take care of himself after that, and he was bedbound for the rest of his life.

Bruce's childhood was never the same again. He hated the convict's evil and his father's weakness. He vowed to personally ensure that all lowlife convicts get the punishment they deserve!

Give LedgerAs one of his pawns, the first task that Bruce gives you is to steal a ledger from the cell of Caesar, the boss of the Black Claw Gang. As you needed to see Reed as soon as possible, you had no choice but to do as he said. Luckily, Bruce kept his word and granted you the priority visitation privilege. But why would the guard captain want the ledger? Only time will tell.

Give Fake LedgerAs one of his pawns, the first task that Bruce gives you is to steal a ledger from the cell of Caesar, the boss of the Black Claw Gang. After some hesitation, you decided to tell Caesar about Bruce's plan. Much to your surprise, Caesar had already prepared a fake ledger, which you gave to Bruce. He didn't suspect a thing, and granted you the priority visitation privilege. But why would the guard captain want to steal the ledger? And will Caesar's fake ledger throw a wrench into the works of Bruce's plan? Only time will tell.

As the conflict between the Big Foot Gang and the Black Claw Gang intensified, you heard of a most unexpected development: Bruce had joined forces with Jumbo, the boss of the Big Foot Gang. The reason why Jumbo was willing to break the prison code and work with the guards was because Bruce has a piece of information that Jumbo would do anything to get: the whereabouts of Glen, the one who betrayed him and got him sent down.

Did Not Obtain Code TableInevitably, the powder keg exploded. The gang war erupted in the cafeteria at lunchtime one day. Amidst the clash of claws and horns, Bruce arrived with the warden. But when Jumbo signaled to Bruce that he hadn't yet got Caesar's code table, Bruce was visibly enraged. No matter how big his plan, all he could do was follow the warden's orders.

Obtained Code TableInevitably, the powder keg exploded. The gang war erupted in the cafeteria at lunchtime one day. Amidst the clash of claws and horns, Bruce arrived with the warden. However, when Warden Clark gave the order to put an end to the riot, Bruce unexpectedly chose to disobey. It turns out that the meticulously planned riot and the ledger that Bruce asked you to steal from Caesar were all part of a plot by the guard captain. His goal: to bring down the warden.

Give LedgerBruce's plan was successful. Because the riot involved more than 20 inmates, it was investigated by the federal authorities. He took the opportunity to give evidence of the warden taking bribes from the Black Claw Gang to the investigation team: the blue ledger that you stole from Caesar's cell and the code table that Jumbo took from Caesar during the riot.

The plan paid off in a big way: the warden was taken into custody by the federal investigation team, and Bruce took his place as acting warden.

Give Fake LedgerBruce's plan looked as if it was about to succeed. Because the riot involved more than 20 inmates, he was able to have it investigated by the federal authorities, to whom he submitted evidence of the warden taking bribes from the Black Claw Gang: the blue ledger that you gave him. However, he could never have expected that the highly convincing ledger was actually a fake.

Of course, there were no real entries in the fake ledger, and the investigation into Clark was dropped due to lack of evidence. Bruce, on the other hand, was demoted for his poor handling of the riot and for "official reasons" that tarnished the image of the prison. Who knows, maybe he will be Deputy Captain Bruce until the day he retires.
