When you hear the sound of a motorized wheelchair in Boulderton Prison, make sure you stand at attention! It means that the warden, Colonel Clark the Rooster, is nearby.
Although the warden is confined to a wheelchair because of his leg disability, it does not make him any less imposing. Even the tyrannical Bruce, who loves to throw his weight around with the inmates, rapidly turns his gaze downward in the presence of Colonel Clark. This is not only because of Clark's position as warden, but also because of the fierce gaze hidden behind his kind smile.
You overheard in the cafeteria that Clark was not only an Air Force colonel, but also commander of the famous White Reaper Squadron. You also hear that it was a drunken car accident that forced him to leave the military and confined him to a wheelchair.
The warden may appear to be professional and impartial on the surface, but he actually has many secrets, particularly his deal with the Black Claw Gang. You know from the grapevine that Clark is the reason why the Black Claw Gang is able to control a third of the prison alongside the fearsome Big Foot Gang and Sharp Tooth Gang. However, recently, his appetite has suddenly grown, and if the Black Claw Gang can no longer afford to pay him off, he might consider replacing them with someone who can.
At lunchtime one day, a riot erupted in the cafeteria, involving all three gangs, the forces behind the gangs, and anyone else unlucky enough to get caught in the chaos. Amidst the clash of claws and horns, Bruce arrived with a group of guards. However, Warden Clark was also with him.
Did Not Obtain Code TableThis contradicted the information that the Big Foot Gang had received beforehand. The reason they chose this day to kick off trouble was because they had information that Clark would be attending a meeting in Four Corners. Regardless of whether the information was wrong or Clark had changed his schedule at the last minute, it meant that the Big Foot Gang had lost the opportunity to destroy the Black Claw Gang once and for all. Staring down Clark and guards armed with stun batons, even Jumbo was forced to admit defeat.
Obtained Code TableHowever, when Warden Clark gave the order to put an end to the riot, Bruce unexpectedly chose to disobey. It turns out that the meticulously planned riot and the ledger that Bruce asked you to steal from Caesar were all part of a plot by the guard captain. His goal: to bring down the warden.
Give LedgerBruce's plan was successful. Because the riot involved more than 20 inmates, it was investigated by the federal authorities. Bruce took the opportunity to give evidence of Clark taking bribes from the Black Claw Gang to the investigation team: the blue ledger that you stole from Caesar's cell and the code table that Jumbo stole from Caesar during the riot.
The plan paid off in a big way: Clark was taken into custody by the federal investigation team, and Bruce took his place as acting warden. If Clark is found guilty and sentenced to a custodial sentence, hopefully he won't be sent to serve it in Boulderton Prison. After all, Bruce treats all prisoners the same, and he would no doubt revel in making the former warden's life an absolute misery.
Give Fake LedgerBruce's plan looked as if it was about to succeed. Because the riot involved more than 20 inmates, he was able to have it investigated by the federal authorities, to whom he submitted evidence of Clark taking bribes from the Black Claw Gang: the blue ledger that you gave him. However, Bruce could never have expected that the highly convincing ledger was actually a fake.
Of course, there were no real entries in the fake ledger, and the investigation into Clark was dropped due to lack of evidence. Bruce, on the other hand, was demoted for his poor handling of the riot and for "official reasons" that tarnished the image of the prison. It just goes to show, you should never underestimate a rooster.
