Though cocky, arrogant, obnoxious, and always late for everything, Wesley was probably your only friend. As fellow undercover agents for the Federal Investigation Bureau, you shared a bond that allowed both of you to be yourselves, even if only while knocking back a few drinks at Lou's Bar. However, Marla suffered from a congenital heart condition that would have made her a huge burden to any prospective parents, and no one was willing to accept the "buy one, get one free" deal. This made Wesley behave badly from an early age, so that he would never be separated from his sister. They stayed at the orphanage until they had to leave, after which it was up to Wesley to support them both.
To pay for his sister's medication, Wesley turned to the streets, doing everything and anything he could to make money. But it seemed that the Father of the Forest did not favor the unfortunate siblings. As they grew older, Marla's illness became increasingly serious, and she required round-the-clock hospital care. The high cost of her treatment became a relentless nightmare to Wesley, so when he learned that he would be paid huge sums of money for completing undercover missions, he did not hesitate to sign on the dotted line, and he always took the most dangerous, most highly paying jobs, like that last fateful mission.
You were originally going to take the job that got him killed, but he beat you to it. He told you that Marla's condition was getting worse every day, and that he had to pay for a transplant before it's too late.
The operation was a success and Marla got a new heart. Although Wesley did not get to see his sister's recovery, you are sure he is smiling down on her. You comfort Marla with those words, as well as yourself.
