"The amalgamated dragon is not yet complete. Though it cannot yet breathe fire, it is still a formidable beast."

"Many heroes died in the siege, including Siegfried's fiancée."

Whoa, how much more heartbreak is this book going to put me through?

Every character I like ends up meeting a tragic fate.
End

"As the sword pierced his chest, the amalgamated dragon finally fell to pieces and turned to ash."

"The souls of the dragon-eagle maidens imprisoned within could now return to the heavens."

"The throne, however, sat empty. The king walked alone toward the ice cage."

"Since he could not save his mother, he chose to stay with her for all eternity."

Is this the end? The whole story's so full of tragedy.

I guess the author's trying to say that no matter how smart someone may be, he's only ever a pawn in the game of power.
