If it weren't for those smart-ass scientists, the monster never would have been awakened.
It eventually changed into a form so grotesque that it made me feel sick for days.
Although, after reading this, there's no nightmare that can scare me now.

Is the sound of nails scraping down a blackboard that bad? Not to me.
If what they say in the books is true, we felines are the natural enemies of monsters like that.

Does this ending mean...that the monster was awakened by the presence of the investigator?
But the monster would have awoken if nothing was done, wouldn't it? The cultists were already performing the ritual.
Still, I have to admit, the portrayal of monsters in this book was gross, way more disgusting than anything I've seen in my nightmares.
